Weekend at The Farm at San Benito

by Doy Aguilar
Mon, 30 Jun 2008 23:37:22 -0700

My friend Shaun Olmstead and I spent an unforgettable and rejuvenating weekend at The Farm in San Benito.  Touted as the Hippocrates Health Resort of Asia, The Farm is a beautiful oasis of lush greenery in Lipa City, Batangas, a little less than two hours away from busy and congested Manila.

The Farm promotes wellness and healthy living by following the ancient wisdom of natural law as espoused by Hippocrates, the father of medicine, several centuries ago. It believes in the adage that it is possible to regain health through natural, holistic methods by which the body can heal itself. The Farm boasts of an excellent team of experts in various healing methods, from medical doctors, massage and bodywork therapists, living food chefs, fitness consultants, colonic therapists, meditation teachers, organic gardeners, visiting experts in a variety of holistic fields, and other specialized practitioners to help guests on their healing journey.

We particularly enjoyed exploring the expansive and lush grounds which is perfect for jogging, meditating or just enjoying the beautiful vistas. The air here is so fresh and clean it reinvigorates us instantly the moment we stepped out of the car! The well appointed spa, with their excellent therapists, is also commendable.  The food, which are mostly in their raw stage, are not only healthy but also extremely delicious! It was a weekend to remember, we’ll sure come back for more!
